Description

The question of existence remains unanswered, says composer Charles Ives, paraphrasing the title of his work The Unanswered Question. However, there is music and dance, and where thought leads to questions, the body understands. Vibrations, sounds, movements repeat themselves and reveal the vital energy of our presence in the world.

Upon the invitation of Ensemble Vide, choreographer Perrine Valli and dancer Marthe Krummenacher explore the immensity of ARCOOP, an industrial building in Carouge. Backed by four dancers, they encounter an orchestra. The musicians play this Unanswered Question and together, reproducing the same tunes and the same movements, they tirelessly tell a story of life cycles and starting over.
